Community is what it’s all about for Mahoney/WOR in Modena Pennsylvania. Every year, our wonderful customer Goose Creek comes out to do a cooking demo using fresh produce from our community garden. This year was no different. Chef Kevin Coley demos flank steak with chimichurri and potato hash, utilizing the garden’s swiss chard and beets.
Our audience was the most important part: members from Coatsville Youth Initiative: Joseph, Frank, Misael, and Mikah – who are working hard within the garden and learning the importance of leadership and community. All excess produce and herbs is donated to the Chester County Food Bank. Thanks so much to all involved, and please send leftovers to corporate!
